Literature Text

We knew how to do the all-night right, with the windows down and the music up, on a blanket in the grass in the front yard, idly wondering if we'd be shot in the knee-caps during a drive-by. Back when we added “ly” to endings and called them adverbs and snickered when we used them because it was wrong on purpose; we knew the rules and that let us break them.

“I love you muchly,” was our unsung anthem.
This is just a little snip, because I can't remember any of the other made-up words. I stumble across them from time to time.

When I sit down and think, I am continually amazed at the lifetime of experiences I've managed to squeeze into just a few years.

I should write about drug-dealer-neighbors and hiding the grill on the roof so our roommate couldn't use it.

Those were the best days of my life, hands down.
